Beef kheema

Beef kheema is a leftover recipe of beef roast , which is converted to a semi thick gravy and can be enjoyed for breakfast or dinner.

The recipe doesn’t take much time and there is no much spice powders added extra as the beef roast already has the required spices. 

The beef roast is minced and cooked with the basic onion tomato gravy . Beef Kheema can be accompanied with crispy dosa, soft spongy idlies, chappati and so on

Cheese dosa and egg dosa accompanied with beef kheema 

Ingredients 

  • Leftover beef roast – 1 cup or 250 grams 
  • 1 small size onion-finely chopped 
  • 1/2 of tomato -finely chopped 
  • 2 garlic 
  • Small piece of ginger 
  • Curry leaves 
  • Half full of coriander leaves 
  • 2 green chilies – chopped fine 
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt 
  • Oil-2 tbsp
  • 1.5 cup of boiling water 

Method 

Step 1- Add the roast to a grinder and slightly mince it .

Step 2 – To a kadai add 2 tbsp oil, add the chopped onion , green chilies , ginger garlic, tomatoes and sorte for 2 mins., on medium flame. Need not cook until soft. 

Step 3 – Add the spice powders turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala cook for 3 mins., on medium low flame or until the raw smell leaves . 

Step 4- Add the minced meat along wit it add 1.5 cup of hot water , salt and cook the gravy until semi thick . 

Step 5- Add a handful of coriander leaves and some curry leaves . 

Serve it HOT !
