I was born and bought up in Chennai, Even though my origin is from Kerala (Cochin) I had spent over more than two decades in Chennai and so my love for Tamil and Chennai are evergreen. Now it’s been long that I have moved to Dubai and have settled down with my family.

Like other many bloggers, you tubers I wouldn’t use the general phrase of “I was passionate and love cooking and so on …. Were in it was just the other way round as kitchen was just another room in the house, right from my young age I had lived with my family during school, college, work and never got a chance to live apart from so it was typically only homemade food that I had all through and my mother doesn’t allow me to enter the kitchen as she always has this frame saying “You will always end up having a double work for me after you cook” and most of my dishes were sheer failures! So no much of experiments were done, even a normal tea or dosa, rasam were utter flops!!

Later when I had come over to Dubai and when I started to cook all alone, that is where it all started, obviously when you starve you can’t end up in ordering food always, you have to cook and you have to eat so then I started to research about recipes, methods, techniques, shortcuts, then very frequent calls to my mom. Both my parents are extremely talented cooks since both of them were working to meet the ends of the family they had taken equal responsibility  in sharing the kitchen space, my mother is an expert with  all Nadan (traditional  Kerala) non veg recipes and my father equalizes it with the vegetarian recipes. More over I am definitely not a fan of pizza’s and pasta’s however I  am a  person who enjoys  authentic traditional south Indian food so you can expect more recipes pertaining to that.  So definitely I am self-learner, inventor and a Master Chef of my Kitchen.

The thought process about Homemade and the ideology on developing the concept was from my husband Vijin, He is really my power bank and my lucky charm, the tester of all my recipes if the dish is good his general phrase is “ sama Jaana” . My best and worst critics are my sisters. My family is my biggest support in all means. Also without the support and encouragement of my friends this blog shouldn’t have come up.
